About Steve Turton
Yes that's my name, Steve Turton. I'm an Aussie living on the coast in South Australia and I'm very grateful to be able to live in this location. My better half thinks it's a pretty good spot too. That's Jen in the picture!
As for me, well, I'm not going into detail because I will be here all day! However, I do have a few tales to tell and they start back in 1971 when I commenced an apprenticeship in the metal industry. I went on to successfully complete that and then in 1978 I joined the Australian Army.
I remained a soldier for nine years and elected discharge in 1987. As part of that discharge I underwent a thorough medical examination, a standard discharge procedure for everyone. As a result of this examination it was discovered I suffered a syndrome called Neurofibromatosis. This also led to the discovery of a benign tumor growing in my lower neck within my spine and it was slowly compressing my spinal cord.
After successful major surgery to remove this tumor in June 1987, I was finally discharged from the Army. My life took a few twists and turns over the next several years and then I met my wife to be, Jenny. In 1990 we purchased the land where we are to this day but my life was yet to test me further.
Before my next life test, I did study and became qualified as a private pilot. One of those dreams lots of kids have. Then being in the right place at the right time saw me qualifying as a flight instructor which was a bunch of fun. I also qualified as a commercial pilot, something I thought I would never achieve. This is a picture of me taking a friend for a local flight in a Sport Cub.

Then one day as part of a standard examination all to do with my neurofibromatosis, an MRI revealed a growth within my brain. Long story short, this growth had no connection with my neurofibromatosis but I'm told it is benign. This all happened in October 2012.
It turns out this tumor is a subependimoma located at the base of the fourth ventricle and surgery to remove it is a last option because of it's location. Anyway, because of this I had my pilots medical certificate revoked which has grounded me for good. I haven't flown for 18 months. That was quite a challenge for me and my wife. I eventually turned to internet marketing with a view to generating an income.
Today is the 16 June 2014 and I have been an internet marketer for ten months. I have studied copy-writing and other courses to gain knowledge working within the internet marketing space. Practically, I have learned a great deal, with a moderate amount of success.
Thankfully, this has been a brief expose'. Life for me these days is sitting in front of a computer. I am about to launch a training website with a series of training sessions where I will pass on all that I have learned.
My website is new, nothing flash and may still be under construction. My New Site.
