Today is Tuesday, 13 August 2013 at 8.50pm. I have spent all but two hours today trying to figure out the marketing aspect of my new business venture. I do have plenty of support from colleagues, but typically I like to be independent and do it myself. You know what it's like! At the local shopping centre, I will search the isles for a product rather than ask a staff member, drives my wife insane! I'm sure I'm the only bloke that acts this way....maybe!
Anywho, I have managed to source two methods of marketing my business at a small cost, tomorrow I need to source one or two more that are freebies. There are quite a number around. Another way to attract people to my business venture is by developing relationships. I don't mean having affairs with lots of women(or guys thank you!), but through the likes of Facebook and Twitter. This is awesome, I have just started a Facebook account and I'm looking forward to meeting lots of folks from all parts of the world, sounds exciting. I haven't a clue how to use Facebook and no doubt I will make errors, but hey, it's the only way to learn. I can be found under my name, Steve Turton from Adelaide.
Tomorrow is my official commencement day for my business. It's been all setup and prep work for the last week. I'm told it will take time to get up to speed and see some results. That's ok, I am following guidance and not going to reinvent the wheel or try to fix something that aint broke. In other words, this business has loads of support and operates on the internet. It employs the latest technology, very (sexy) professionally designed and constructed web sites and pages. Another thing I've learned , but really I have always known, is to focus on the people and relationships. CRM it's called. I love it.
