As I stated earlier, the challenge for me is how to build a strong business. I do have all the latest systems and tools and a terrific support network....but, I need the rest of the world to notice me. Well, maybe only a wee percentage of the world, after all I am in a global business.
I know from what my sponsor has told me, I need to get good quality inquiries, people who are serious about a home business. People who are teachable, who are focused and who have a big why. Also, these folks will need a computer or laptop and a phone, probably a mobile phone too. Oh, not essential, but a love for travel would be a bonus. More about the why another time.
Solution is to forget the business, that is, put aside the need to make money. Developing good relationships is the key. People need to know that I do have an interest in them, not there wallet or purse. Fortunately, that is my natural mindset. Over the years doing many of the things I've tried my hand at, I know friendships are so important. Recently I have started using Face Book, holy crackers, so many people using that system. It's a terrific tool for creating new friends all over the world. Yeah ok, I don't know how to use it but I'm improving. To my surprise my brother in West Australia turned up on FB - unbelievable.
There's also other social networking sites which I will explore over time, but in the meantime I will develop FB and continue with this blog. So, my solution isn't new but there will be many folks out there who would discard FB for their own various reasons. Another way I look at it is, I am a problem solver / solution seeker. I can help people with there problems. Work/life balance or financial issues. Those folks will only let me help them if they trust me. That is what I am all about. That's what I along with my business can do. People just need to have a why, the bigger the why the better.
Putting the business aside for now, I was reminiscing through some old photos I converted to digital. I was a scruffbag in my teens and the pics prove it. I have two pics here, one where I was helping a good mate modify the engine of his Holden Panel Van. Ed is a tradesman and I the apprentice. The other pic is when I was holding up the washing line or was it holding me up!!
Seventeen was a fun age, I learnt to surf, drive a car, did a lot of camping as well as start an apprenticeship. No girls on the scene, too busy for that distraction.... that attitude didn't last for too long tho. Anyway, seems I just can't keep my posts short. I must be off to walk the dog.
